About us!
The Fellowship of Motherhood was born out of a desire to create a supportive and inspiring environment for mothers around the world. I understand that motherhood can be a deeply rewarding yet challenging experience.
We don't need to be perfect. We just need to be happy, present and loving.
I wouldn't change my children for the world, I love them more than love itself. But to be completely honest some days I do not enjoy being a mum. In fact there are days where I actually hate it. And I hate myself for feeling this way. It's okay to feel to this way.
My mission is to connect mothers by creating a community in which they can share their personal journeys, offer support, and celebrate the joys and trials of parenting. I believe in the power of shared experiences and aim to be a trusted resource and a comforting companion for every mum navigating the path of motherhood. Please join me as we explore the ups and downs of this incredible journey together.
About Me!
My name is Isabel and I am thrilled to share a bit about my personal journey that inspired me to create this sanctuary for mums like you.
Since giving birth to my children 4 & 2. I have suffered with post-natal depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
I have begun to notice that I myself are struggling with childhood trauma, and there are triggers which I didn't even know about, all of a sudden, coming to the surface.
I am trying to work on my mental health to become the best mum I can be.
I hope that writing this blog, with my day to day feelings and thoughts, being as brutally honest as I can, as I go on this journey of motherhood, I can connect and reach out to all the mums who are also struggling, so they can read my story, see it's not all fluffy clouds and day dreams, and realise they are not alone.
I hope that they will also begin to realise that they are not bad parents.
We all need a bit of support and I am hoping this blog will become the supportive community we all need and cherish.
Thank you.
